What to expect from our team of Solar System Installers

At Contact Solar, we aim to provide a smooth and simple solar installation process for our customers. Our team of professional solar system installers are trusted to ensure the high standards we set when it comes to installation are met. Keep reading for a step-by-step guide to what you can expect from our solar system installers on installation day.

Step 1 – Prepare the area for our Solar System Installers

The first step to our installation process is to prepare the area for our team. The install team requires enough space for them to work safely to install your solar system whether it’s solar panels, inverters or battery storage devices. We therefore ask for you to ensure that the proposed space for the solar installation is kept clear and any trip-hazards are removed.

Step 2 – Meet the team

Our team of solar panel installers will aim to be at your property early on the day of the install, unless you have previously agreed a specific time. The team leader will introduce themselves and the whole team upon arrival.

They’ll then discuss with you where you would like the electrical components to be installed, the cable route and ensure you are happy with the proposed layout of the solar panels. If you have any questions on installation day, you can approach the team leader who will answer any queries you may have.

Step 3 – We’ll install your solar system

The majority of our solar panel installer teams are made up of a roofer, an electrician and a labourer, as this makes the installation of your solar system as efficient as possible. While one of our NICEIC certified electricians is installing your inverter and battery storage device, our qualified roofer will be installing your solar panels.

The timings of your solar install will vary depending upon the system order, however, most solar PV installations at domestic properties are completed in one day. However, due to any factors outside our control such as the weather, we can’t guarantee the work will be completed within this time frame. If extra time is required to complete the solar installation, our team of solar panel installers will keep you up-to-date.

Step 4 – The handover process will take place

Once your solar panel installers have completed the solar installation, they will call our technical team at the Head Office to carry out the necessary checks to ensure your system is working as expected. Before leaving your property, the team will do a brief run through of your brand-new system and ask for you to sign a satisfaction form whereby you can provide any feedback. After this has been done, a member of our handover team will contact you to run through all the next steps and clear payment. At this stage, you can enjoy your new solar PV system and start saving on your electricity bills.
